Current Opportunities

Halloween Happenings at Little Bennett Campground is seeking volunteers throughout September and October. There are multiple shifts and a variety of openings available. Students can view the opportunity and sign up here:

Need a Form?

All MCPS SSL Opportunities must be:

​

1. For a registered community organization:

      Montgomery County Volunteer Center

      Non-Profit Search

2. Includes the 3 Core Components

3. Reflects Maryland’s 7 Best Practices

4. In a public place

5. Supervised (not by a parent or relative)

6. For volunteer service only (not paid)

7. For no more than 8 hours in a day

If your service meets these criteria, fill out:

MCPS Form 560-51: Student Service Learning Activity Verification

 

This form is used to document a student’s SSL hours and submitted to Ms. Schartiger, who reviews and adds hours to students’ SSL records.

​

ALL PARTS OF THE FORM NEED TO BE PROPERLY FILLED OUT BY BOTH THE ORGANIZATION AND THE STUDENT. 

THE STUDENT REFLECTION MUST BE DETAILED AND THOUGHTFUL!
